A little about us

Romley House Farm

Romley Caravan Storage is based at Romley House Farm, a working Farm to this day. The Caravan Storage is located on the farm.

Professional Caravan storage began in 1996. The site was originally one acre and is now on the fourth extension to 10 acres providing storage for up to approximately 900 caravans.
How it all Began

Romley Caravan Storage was originally a supplementary business to the arable and animal farming business.

However in 2021, the Foot and Mouth outbreak saw the end of animal keeping to prevent closure of the Caravan site. We also decided to increase the size of the site.
Dr Thomas Gisborne

The farm will probably revert back to what it was 200 years ago, ie the parkland country residence of George III’s physician, Dr. Thomas Gisborne . He lived in his Gentlemen’s residence in the wood and died there in 1806.

The Arthur family then took tenancy and later purchased the farm resulting in seven generations residing here to the current day.
James Arthur
Director

James has been involved in the company since 1996. Over the years he has been heavily involved in the extension and development of the caravan storage site. He lives adjacent to the site and is involved with the day to day running of the office.

Roger Arthur
Director

Roger has lived on site since 1946 and has been responsible for the farm since he was 19. Today he still works with James, operating the Farm and Caravan Storage businesses.

Ronnie

Finance

As well as being in charge of debt enforcement (!), the Rocket likes to round your car up, keep you to 10 miles an hour on site and generally look after the place.

Sheila

Marketing & Sales

A rose between two thorns, Sheila is our laziest employee, usually found asleep on top of the laser printer, generally trying to do as little as possible.

Peggy

IT

The newest edition to our team, very friendly and welcoming. She’s generally the boss and very busy around the site.
